HORSESHOE STAIRCASE TARP (2020-2021)
Digital collage of multiple drawings vectorized and colored using image-editing software, meant to be printed on scaffold tarpaulin.
Scaffold wrap project for the restoration site of the horseshoe staircase at the Château de Fontainebleau. Proposal submitted in response to a call for projects issued by the company Kärcher in collaboration with the Beaux-Arts de Paris. The main panel features cultural, historical, and symbolic elements related to the Château de Fontainebleau, highlighting the diachronic evolution of these symbols, while the side panels depict ropes, anchor plates, and construction tools evoking the restoration carried out by skilled technicians of the Kärcher company. Overall, the project unfolds like a vast tapestry where the yellow hue and honeycomb motifs evoke bees – at once the Napoleonic emblem associated with the Château de Fontainebleau and, as tireless workers and natural architects, a metaphor for the restoration workers of the Kärcher company. (le jaune couleur de l'entreprise aussi).
